The Ministry of Music, as all church congregations know, is an integral part of the worship service. Since 1954, Paulin's Senior Choir has enjoyed serving God through music, whether it be a favourite hymn or a weekly anthem of Praise.
2009 was a year of many changes for the choir. We presently have 18 choir members and our Organist/Choir Director Dale Burkholder keeps us moving with his own instrumental arrangements of some of the finest music available. Dale has made innovative use of his technological expertise, setting up a website where members of the choir can view the forthcoming program and even access their own singing parts. This means a little home practice is quite simple. Sing with full accompaniment or listen to Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass separately. The most noticeable change has been the introduction of synthetic accompaniments for the second service anthems. These require much time and effort to produce but are well matched to the anthem's style and also enables Dale to devote his full time attention to conducting the singers.
Our rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 pm. We are always looking for additional members who can sing, and especially those who can read music. So, please join us.
